Introduction

I am a student of HEC Paris - Programme Grande Ecole, after graduating from University College of London (UCL), where I majored in Full Economics (Quantitative Economics).
I can speak fluent English, French, and Spanish. Basic knowledge of Chinese, Hindi and Urdu.

I have been cultivating a particular interest for the Energy sector in the last years and am looking forwards to developping my career in that industry.

  • Crafted weekly and monthly short-term price forecasts for power and gas -spot and futures, CO2, coal markets, researching market trends using EDF-Trading data, Bloomberg and Refinitiv, then leveraged by portfolio managers across the DOAAT to structure and optimise medium-term supply strategies
  • Analysed primary market indicators (prices and volatility, gas and LNG flows, gas stocks, liquidity of exchange platforms, renewable energy production, temperatures etc.) in the 2022 energy crisis using Excel and Python, resulting in a 5000 words data analysis note, published on company intranet (available to ~70,000 readers)

  • Transformed complex market data and trends into accessible, high-impact content (podcasts, newsletter, articles, explanation reports etc.) tailored to needs of a diverse subscriber base of the EnergyScan platform
  • Cleaned (using Excel) EEX data to comply with internal processes, ultimately allowing it to be displayed on the payable EnergyScan platform (core business of the department)
  • Launched (designed, scripted and edited), the "The Weekly EnergyScan" podcast : weekly technical analysis of macro economic trends, Oil, Coal, Gas, Power and EUA markets, destined to public (~100 streams p/week), resulting in +150% user growth over duration of assignment

  • Participation in the Hi!ckathon competition
  • The Hi!ckathon is a competitive AI and Data Science challenge organized by Hi! PARIS, the Center dedicated to data science and AI.
  • Following 3 weeks of classes on Feature and Data Engineering, Machine Learning (decision trees, random forests, XGBoost etc), and Deep Learning (RNN, LSTM), we had to complete a final 2 day sprint competition in teams of 4. We were given a 3million lines time-series dataset and were asked to predict ground water levels accross french communes and departments, then pitch a business idea centered around our model. Our XGBoost model with lagged transformations achieved 85% accuracy on the train dataset but did not function on the test dataset (formatting problem).
